Resumen
The central objective of this paper is the calculation of effective capture radius by using the Poisson equation. To accomplish this it is assumed the process of endocytosis between cell and nanotubes (that can be multi-walled for example), and that both parts are presenting electric interactions. In this manner, it is proposed a theoretical approach in which a nanotubes interact with cell membrane based in the adsorption dictated by Coulomb-like forces. Thus, when nanotubes and cell are exhibiting opposite electric sign, the external surface and volume of incoming agent might be encompassing an efficient uptake in the sense that cell does not exerts any expulsion on incoming nanotubes. This paper, investigates the effect of nanotubes having outer and inner radius. Thus, it is calculated the capture radius that would allow an efficient internalization along cell endocytosis. When capture is entirely based on electric interactions, the ions density of nanotubes would constitute a factor of interest for guaranteeing the success of those systems based in drug delivery.
