Palacios E.E.P.; Gallegos A.; Román J.E.; Leon A.J.A.O.; Valencia-Arias A. · Economic Alternatives (2026) · DOI: 10.37075/ea.2026.3.16

Resumen

This study examines the entrepreneurial culture among students of Administrative Sciences at a Peruvian public university with a sample of 365 students, analyzing the differences in entrepreneurial culture according to socio-demographic variables such as age, career, and gender. It highlights the transition towards an "entrepreneurial university" and its importance in generating formal employment, especially during the COVID-19 crisis. Hypotheses were raised about the influence of personal characteristics, motivational climate, university resources and training on entrepreneurial culture. Using a quantitative correlational method with exploratory factor analysis, six latent factors were identified that explain 63.1% of the common variance, including personal characteristics, motivational climate, university resources, and experience and training. These factors are fundamental to understanding entrepreneurial culture. The objective is to identify and analyze the factors that shape the entrepreneurial mentality, going beyond theory to understand the concrete reality of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. The study highlights the need to strengthen university programs and resources to support entrepreneurship among students, thus contributing to socio-economic development.
