Resumen
Phytopathology laboratories are scientific-technological facilities for research and service to the agricultural sector whose function is to analyze, diagnose and provide control measures for crops with difficulties in the production process. Architectural design is complex, and there is little information to serve as a guide and input for designers, architects or specialists engaged in agricultural research. Thus, this article provides detailed knowledge for the proper layout and design of the Phytopathology laboratory, contemplating the required spaces, details of the areas and equipment that are used; through a sequential process based on the collection of information on activities, normative biosafety criteria and the case study through a visit to the “Diagnosis Clinic of Phytopathology and Nematology” of the National Agrarian University La Molina - Peru
