Resumen
The present study was a systematic literature review (SLR) that aimed to design a management approach based on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) applied to industrial equipments. The PRISMA method was used, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches through a systematic review and the PICO method to analyze articles published between the years 2020 and 2024. A total of 23 articles were selected for the final analysis. Predecessors who implemented an action plan with TPM reported a significant increase in the overall effectiveness of machines (OEE), increasing this indicator by 33.42% and achieving a 97% reduction in maintenance costs. In addition, a 74% improvement in performance and a 30% reduction in operating costs were observed. The study concluded that TPM is an effective resource for increasing the reliability and availability of equipment, being crucial to improving competitiveness and operational efficiency in industries with automated and sequential processes.
