Resumen
The present research aimed to design an automated biodigester prototype capable of transforming organic waste into biogas through the integration of monitoring sensors, with the purpose of evaluating its energy performance in an electrical charging system and promoting the use of renewable energy in rural and educational contexts. A non-applied approach witha pre-experimental design was used, considering rural households, small producers, and educational institutions in the Cajamarca region as the target p opulation. A sample of 107 participants was selected through non-probabilistic sampling, to whom a SERVQUAL survey was applied to evaluate the acceptance of the proposed system. The prototype design included a main reactor, piping system, TMP36 temperature sensor and MQ-4 gas sensor, an Arduino UNO R3 board, and an LCD screen for data visualization. System validation was carried out through simulation on the Tinkercad platform, verifying readings within a simulated range of 0 to 143 ppm of methane. Likewise, MQ-4 sensor measurements recorded methane concentration values between 265 and 267 ppm, withanaverage of266.13ppm, showing stable performance. These results allowe d concluding that the designed prototype represents a technically viable alternative fo r biogas production and sustainable energy use.
