Resumen

The present project is based on providing an option for reducing traffic accidents that have been occurring in recent times, caused by various factors, including drowsiness, which has been considered in the execution of this project. The objective is to develop a prevention system that can identify and alert when the driver is getting drowsy. This will require the use of Python as software and computer vision, which will assist in image processing and conducting various system tests to validate its optimal functioning. The techniques used to detect microsleeps and blinks in real-time will be presented, which will be captured through a camera. This information will be processed using the programmed code and reference points related to the appearance of the eye through computer vision. The result achieved an efficiency of 98% after conducting a series of tests with real-time algorithms.
