Resumen
The development of educational CubeSats has emerged as an effective strategy to promote hands on learning in aerospace engineering within the STEM education framework. This paper presents the design of a modular CubeSat aimed at educational institutions in Peru, with the goal of strengthening technical skills through direct experience with satellite subsystems. The proposed prototype includes interchangeable modules focused on satellite navigation, communication, and attitude control. A reaction wheel-based attitude control system and a communication system using LoRa technology have been implemented, tailored to low-cost environments. The article discusses the main technical and logistical challenges involved in the design, integration, and operation of educational nanosatellites, as well as their positive impact on student motivation and conceptual understanding. This initiative aims to foster the development of scientific and technological capabilities in the space sector, encouraging the active participation of young students in applied research projects.
