Design of a Low-Cost Social Robot for Automated Triage in Primary Care

Gutierrez K.; Granados C.; Aranibar A.; Ahon Y.; Blas O.; Cerron S. · Proceedings of the 2024 IEEE 31st International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2024 (2024) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon63140.2024.10833470

Resumen

In Peru's healthcare system, effective triage is crucial for categorizing patients according to the severity of their conditions and the urgency of required care. However, challenges such as limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and a shortage of adequately trained medical personnel often result in suboptimal patient management. To mitigate these challenges, this study proposes the implementation of a social robot aimed at enhancing triage efficiency.
