Design of a Doherty Power Amplifier with GaN Technology in the Sub-6 GHz Band for 5G Applications with Harmonic Suppression

Rafael-Valdivia G.; Aruquipa-Callata L. · 2020 IEEE MTT-S Latin America Microwave Conference, LAMC 2020 (2020) · DOI: 10.1109/lamc50424.2021.9602547

Resumen

This paper shows the methodology for the design of a Doherty Power Amplifier (DPA), based on a well stablished non linear model for a GaN device, complemented with a harmonic suppression network. For 30dBm input power we got 18% of improvement in efficiency with respect to the conventional Doherty configuration. This design can be useful for 5G applications in the Sub 6GHz band.
