Resumen
The three-phase single squirrel cage induction motor has many applications in their industrial development, and their design, has been based in test and error. Today, we have other methods, as geometric interpretation, what allows using many restrains, which make the motor with the advantages to satisfy all the restrains imposed. The restrains used in the present work are starting current, starting torque, maximum torque, and maximum power or overload capacity, nominal power to nominal slip, maximum efficiency and power factor and minimum current density in the rotor bars. The developed method provided technical benefits such as optimizing the starting current and torque, achieving a high maximum torque, and ensuring adequate slip according to the rated power. Additionally, it enhances the motor's overload capacity, ensuring better operational performance. From an economic perspective, efficiency is improved, optimizing energy consumption and by enhancing the power factor, penalty charges can be avoided.
