Resumen
The constant earthquakes that occur in the country have determined the need to have more and more up-to-date standards, so the changes between versions of the standards can show an important variation. The research presents a comparison of the calculations made with the construction standards prior to the year 2000 and standards after 2015, considering the standards E.030 Earthquake Resistant Design, E.020 Loads and E.060 Reinforced Concrete, in a building of 3 levels for educational use in the district of Yanahuara, Arequipa. The comparison focuses on reviewing the influence of the changes that the standards have had in the period in which the building was built and today (2022). A structural analysis was carried out reviewing aspects such as the weight of the structure, drifts in the axes, sections of structural elements, and amount, through modeling with the ETABS 19 software. As a result, an increase in the weight of the structure was observed in a 5% using regulations after 2015 with respect to those prior to 2000. This was because the evaluation with regulations in force until 2022 required greater reinforcement, including reinforced concrete walls. With regard to the drifts in both designs, these are acceptable on the "X"axis, unlike the "Y"axis where only the design with standards after 2015 complies with what is indicated in the standard, because in past times no considered the torsion in plan in essential buildings, also due to these current requirements of the standards, the structure presents some changes in its distribution to meet these requirements, in terms of the sections and amounts of steel in beams and columns are maintained and in some cases are reduced in the current design with respect to the design with norms prior to 2000, due to the 67% increase in linear meters of structural walls, which improves the distribution of loads and the rigidity of the structure to withstand seismic movements.Given the evaluation carried out on both designs, it is considered that the structure designed with standards prior to 2000 presents greater vulnerability compared to current standards.
