Resumen
It has been mentioned that the peripheral administration of norepinephrine may be safe, however a potential risk of skin necrosis due to its extravasation remains low. We present a case of a 69-year-old female patient who was admitted with an infected diabetic foot presenting associated hypotension, due to which she received peripheral norepinephrine, subsequently presenting dermal necrosis. The literature is reviewed, finding that peripheral administration could be safe, however, under certain criteria, as well as the actions to be followed if a case occurs.
