Resumen
The growing volume and complexity of modern data present significant challenges for analysis and visualization. This research proposes a 3D data visualization tool for analysis in Virtual Reality (VR) environments, aiming to enhance the interpretation of complex datasets. Developed in Unity for Meta Quest, the tool enables interactive visualization of 3D bar charts, provides real-time filters to adjust the virtual representation. Users can upload files in CSV or JSON format and select which variables to visualize. The project follows a structured approach that includes the analysis of existing technologies, prototype design, application development, and effectiveness evaluation through user surveys after interacting with the tool. In a study with 22 participants, 95.4 % rated the tool as useful, 95.5 % reported improved pattern identification, 90.9 % highlighted visual clarity, and 95.4 % emphasized the immersive experience obtained while using it. This solution provides an accessible approach to data analysis, leveraging the immersive capabilities of VR to facilitate the exploration and understanding of complex data.
