Curricular adaptations in language-literature for students with special needs

Pineda J.G.U.; Yascaribay M.J.V.; Borja A.V.A.; De La Cruz Ibarra Moreno S. · Encuentros (Maracaibo) (2024) · DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.11118303

Resumen

The article proposes to demonstrate that an experimental plan of curricular adaptations improves the learning levels of students with SEN in an educational institution in Ecuador. A quasi-experimental investigation was used with two groups in a sample of 40 students. The results showed that during the pre-test 70% of the Experimental Group and 95% of the Control Group were at the average level of learning. After 15 sessions of the adaptation plan, 80% of the Experimental Group reached a high level of learning, showing an increase in the mean from 22.90 to 32.60 from before to after and a value of p=0.000. While the control group remained without significant changes. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that the proposed plan improved the learning levels of students with SEN with a value of p=0.000 in paired samples of the pre-test and post-test.
