Resumen
The growth and economic development of a nation is directly proportional to its road infrastructure and corruption is institutionalized in Latin American countries. Therefore, we sought to compare the costs of investment in road works allocated in Peru with those allocated in the European Union. In methodology, a basic research was contemplated, with a qualitative approach and an epistemological posture that corresponds to the hermeneutic paradigm. The results showed that the investment costs required for a road project on the coast of Peru is 13% more than what was allocated in the projects audited by the European Court of Auditors; similarly, the road projects to be located in the highlands and jungle of Peru would require 83% and 61% more cost, respectively. It was concluded that the differences would be due to orographic and geological issues, due to the capricious and inhospitable nature of the Peruvian geography and that it is essential to evaluate executed projects, corroborating whether they meet their objectives, both social and operational, measuring the effects they generated in the economy, as well as in the satisfaction of the users of the intervened roads. © Licencia de Creative Commons Reconocimiento-NoComercial-CompartirIgual 3.0 Unported
