Resumen
Corporate social responsibility in the mining sector is crucial for mitigating environmental impacts, promoting occupational safety, strengthening community relations, and contributing to the sustainable development of the areas in which it operates, generating long-term trust and value. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between corporate social responsibility and competitive success in a mining company. Applied research with a quantitative, correlational approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design was conducted. The population considered for the study comprised employees of a mining company, and a sample of 59 collaborators was determined. In order to establish the reliability of the instruments, Cronbach's alpha test was conducted, yielding a result of 0.966 for CSR and 0.977 for competitive success, indicating that the instrument is reliable. According to the results obtained, it was concluded that there is a relationship between corporate social responsibility and competitive success in a mining company, with a coefficient of 0.942, indicating a very high and direct relationship between CSR and competitive success.
