Resumen
The objective of this work is to describe the methodology and tools used in the control of a construction project of a copper concentrator plant, with a processing capacity of 152 thousand tons of ore per day, in the Antofagasta region, in the north of Chile. The article focuses on the grinding area and describes the process of preparing the schedule baseline and the process of updating the schedule. To do this, the scope and WBS are defined, network analysis and schedule quality analysis are performed. The project had 378 activities, which involved more than 3,4 million hours of direct personnel and lasted for 36 months. The results of project control (schedule update) are presented after 24 months of execution. The software used organized the information by control accounts, considering the progress measurement bases and incorporating the data obtained from daily reports and other field measurements. Project control made it possible to identify trends in the execution of the project and take preventive or corrective measures, thus avoiding impacting the Project objectives.
