Resumen
The present study aimed to determine the psychometric properties of the scale of psychological impact of sexual harassment in young women in Trujillo, a problem that affects the well-being and safety of women in public transportation, with a sample of 500 university women in the city of Trujillo between 18 and 30 years of age, selected through a non-probabilistic snowball sampling. The study was of an applied type and quantitative approach, using a non-experimental design, with 44 items initially distributed in 4 dimensions. The content validity was evaluated by means of Aiken's V coefficient, obtaining values above 0.80. With respect to the confirmatory factor analysis, the scale was refined to 21 items divided into 2 dimensions, showing adequate adjustment indexes of (χ2/gl=3.27, TLI=0.919, CFI=0.928, SRMR=.0.0451, RMSEA=0.0674), and the reliability, calculated by the Omega coefficient and Coefficient alpha ranges between 0.921 and 0.914, indicating that the instrument presents a high internal consistency. It is concluded by demonstrating the usefulness and relevance of the instrument to measure the psychological impact after an experience of sexual harassment in public transport, offering a solid tool for the evaluation and understanding of the problem.
