Resumen

Good Storage Practices (GSP) ensure that the physical and chemical characteristics of drugs are maintained in an optimal state, preserving their quality and safety. Objective: To determine the level of compliance with GSP in the Specialized Drug Storage (SDW) of the Regional Health Directorate (DIRESA). Methods: Observational descriptive cross-sectional study. The national guidelines approved by DIGEMID for GSP inspection were used. The UPCH IRB and DIRESA reviewed and approved the study. Information was collected through direct verification and applying questions on the 9 components of the GSP. Results: It was determined that the SDW achieved 74.53% compliance with the GSP. Concerning the components, the following were obtained: quality assurance system (71.43%), personnel (37.50%), facilities, equipment and instruments (70.11%), warehouse (85.85%), documentation (76.00%), claims (100%), recall (57.14%) and self-inspections (20.00%). Conclusions: DIRESA AEM achieved average compliance with GAP. © Revista Médica Herediana.
