Resumen
The objective of this research is to compare the values of the admissible capacity in shallow foundations using the equations of Terzaghi, Meyerhof, Hansen and Vesic, based on the characteristics of the soil in the "El Mirador" Urbanization in the Cajabamba District. For this purpose, seven pits were carried out, in which the following tests were carried out: moisture content, natural density, specific weight, granulometric analysis, plasticity indices and triaxial compression; allowing to classify the soil using the SUCS system, stratum one and two as poorly graded sand (SP) and well graded sand (SW) respectively and also calculate the admissible capacity of the soil, using the methods of Terzaghi, Meyerhof, Hansen and Vesic. And the following values were obtained: for Df=1.50 m and B=1.00 m, values that range between 8.06 kg/cm2 and 10.98 kg/cm2; Df=1.50 m and B=1.50 m between 8.25 kg/cm2 and 11.30 kg/cm2; Df=1.50 m and B=2.00 m between 8.43 kg/cm2 and 11.46 kg/cm2; Df=2.00 m and B=1.00 m between 8.63 kg/cm2 and 11.65 kg/cm2; Df=2.00 m and B=1.50 m between 8.82 kg/cm2 and 11.68 kg/cm2 and for Df=2.00 m and B=2.00 m between 9.00 kg/cm2 and 11.97 kg/cm2.It is concluded that the Terzaghi and Hansen method provides greater structural safety.
