Resumen
The new paradigms of Industry 4.0 and current global problems such as climate change, environmental degradation, economic development, among others, require the education of engineers focused on sustainability. At the educational level, curriculums based on active methodology are increasingly relevant. However, the discussion between the advantages of using a curriculum based on Problem based learning (PBL) or a traditional one continues until nowadays. It is frequently said using PBL, in the absence of traditional direct teaching, the student learns less. However, the present work demonstrated that PBL-based curriculum design did not reduce student scores when both approaches were subjected to systematic evaluation. A brief state of the art of current knowledge in Curriculum Design is presented. Then, the results of a systematic assessment test of both curricula are shown. This experiment was carried out in the Electromagnetism course at the University of Piura.
