Resumen
In the business philosophy of the industrial consumerist model, the conservation of matter and energy is dispensed with, leading society to a delirium of consumption framed in the linear economy, with consumers growing in the acquisition of goods with the generation of waste. In this chapter, the authors intend to use the indirect route to seek behavioral change in the entrepreneur and therefore in the company to make it more respectful of the environment conducive to the development of life. The business motivations are analyzed and the tools that the company introduces to address the dimension of development as well as to achieve business and environmental ethics. Likewise, an analysis of four successful business case studies is carried out as a response of companies promoting the conservation of nature. The chapter was formulated in relation to company management as mandated by Sustainable Development Goal 12 on responsible production and consumption, with the understanding that companies guarantee sustainable consumption and production patterns.
