Resumen
This article developed a combination of flipped learning and social skills training to improve university academic performance. The study included a sample of 86 tenth-year students from the 2024–2 academic year, defined as the control group and the 2024–2 experimental group, at the Universidad Católica Sedes Sapientiae, Peru. A 12-item questionnaire categorized into six factors was also developed, targeting the effect of students’ academic benefits. Normality and hypothesis testing were also assessed using the Student t test. The results indicate that the combined method does not improve students’ academic performance according to the hypothesis test. However, there was a slight improvement in the grades of students in the experimental group, with a 6.8% increase compared to the control group. Furthermore, the survey results reported that more than 80% of students were very satisfied with the benefits of the method, particularly in the Communication and Social Awareness factors. These findings underline, in conclusion, that flipped learning and the development of social skills foster personal mastery and security, which positively impacts the students’ life purpose. © (2025), (Universidad del Zulia).
