Resumen
Combined corneal refractive techniques involve the combination of two or more procedures, at least one of which corresponds to a refractive technique and one of which is performed on the cornea. This chapter elucidates why, under certain circumstances, a combination is better than a single procedure, including the definitions, techniques, advantages, and disadvantages of several techniques and combinations. Topics such as corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL), laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK), photorefractive keratectomy, intrastromal corneal rings, and phakic and pseudophakic intraocular lenses (IOLs) are included.
