Resumen
Managing aircraft noise at existing airports is a challenging process involving different factors, such as safety, and environmental, social and economic sustainability, alongside multiple stakeholders, both public and private. The different objectives of each sector require a collaborative approach to reach sustainable outcomes. To face this challenge at Jorge Chávez Airport in Perú, a multidisciplinary group from both the public and private sectors denominated the Comité Técnico para la Mitigación de Ruido de Aeronaves (CTMRA) was created. This group is currently developing an Effective Aircraft Noise Mitigation Plan (PE-MIRA) under Balanced Approach by OACI. This paper presents progressive adaptation of the Collaborative Environmental Management (CEM) methodology to the Case Study Jorge Chávez International Airport, including its organizational conception and structure, working dynamics, key challenges, and strategies to overcome them. Finally, the results obtained, and the next steps are presented.
