Resumen
In the Puno region, climate change affects agricultural activity since it depends mainly on variations in temperature and precipitation. The objective of the research is to determine the impact of climate change on the production and yield of barley grain in the Puno region. The methodology used was the method of the multiple linear regression function based on Ordinary Least Squares to explain the yield and production of barley grain under conditions of climate change in the Puno region, the data were extracted from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MINAGRI) and the National Meteorology Service (SENAMHI) of Peru, corresponding between the years 1965 to 2020. To estimate the impact of climate change, the maximum temperature (Tmax), minimum temperature (Tmin) and rainfall (Ppvl) and the effect variables are the production and yield of the barley grain. The results indicate that, the yield of the barley grain in the Puno region is determined by the climatic changes in 30%. While the estimate for the production of barley grain in the Puno region that can state that the climatic variables maximum temperature (Tmax), rainfall (Ppvl) and rainfall squared (Ppvl²) explain the production of barley grain in a 46.97%.
