Resumen
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) during pregnancy is a rare condition whose symptoms overlap with normal gestational physiological changes, hindering timely diagnosis. We present the case of a patient in the second trimester of pregnancy who developed low back pain and nausea, initially attributed to the pregnancy. Non-contrast magnetic resonance imaging identified a well-defined renal mass without extrarenal invasion. Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy was performed, with a favorable postoperative course and no maternal or fetal complications. Pathological examination confirmed grade 1 clear cell renal cell carcinoma. Management of gestational RCC lacks standardized guidelines. Timely laparoscopic surgical intervention allowed preservation of the pregnancy without compromising fetal viability. Further case documentation is required to establish evidence-based management strategies. © (2026), (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Facultad de Medicina). All right reserved.
