Anchante Arias J.A. · Desde el Sur (2024) · DOI: 10.21142/des-1603-2024-0042

Resumen

This article seeks to analyze the educational and literary proposal of La escuela y el cuento (1931) by Cipriano Anglés from three perspectives: the nature of the children’s story, the typology of the children’s story and the performance of the children’s story exhibition in the classroom. The objective of this research is to examine the central aspects of a manual that opens the reflection on children’s literature in Peru. The methodology used is qualitative under the documentary analysis approach; in addition, theory of children’s literature, rhetoric and theory on non-verbal communication will be considered. This study brings, as a result of the problem, the teaching of children’s stories in our country in the first decades of the twentieth century. Likewise, elements that are still valid in didactic-literary studies are addressed, such as the question of genres, literary typology, rhetoric, and non-verbal language.
