Resumen
This research addressed the limitations in the development of cognitive and academic skills among students from vulnerable educational backgrounds. The objective was to evaluate the effect of an AI-based chess learning platform. A quantitative, applied, and pre-experimental design was used, with pretests and posttests administered to a sample of 30 students. The instrument demonstrated adequate reliability (Cronbach's alpha > 0.70). The results showed improvements in all dimensions, confirmed by the student's t-test (p < 0.05), leading to the conclusion that the platform improved cognitive and academic abilities.
