Alvarez Silva M.S.; Silva Obando C.P.; Lam Flores I.C.; Espinoza Rodriguez O.A.C.; Real Dennis Michael V. · Proceedings of the LACCEI international Multi-conference for Engineering, Education and Technology (2025) · DOI: 10.18687/laccei2025.1.1.2068

Resumen

The objective of this systematic literature review is to analyze the development of business resilience in times of economic crisis from 2023 to 2025. For the information search, the Scopus database was used, where 45 articles were identified and selected, using the Prisma method and the PICO model, specifically its PIO variant. The bibliometric analysis used the R programming language and the bibliometrix tool to graphically represent the articles by country, the relationship between keywords, authors and sources, the most relevant affiliations and the most consulted sources. Likewise, VOSviewer was used to visualize the distribution by year of publication and the analysis by average citations. Spain stands out as the country with the highest number of publications, the most used journals were Business History and the Revista Venezolana de Gerencia, while the most notable affiliation is from Michigan State University. It is concluded that the relevant characteristics of a resilient company in times of economic crisis are adaptability and the ability to learn, as well as proactivity, while the most commonly implemented strategies are innovation, liquidity management, reallocation of resources and cost reduction, resulting in better financial performance, operational continuity and stability and digitalization. Business resilience is a dynamic process that requires a continuous effort where organizations that wish to develop it must learn and evolve as conditions change in order to be prepared to face future crises.
