Resumen
The objective of this research is to design a laboratory The objective of this research is to design a laboratory program based on the constructivist approach, aimed at improving the critical-technological capacity of students in the Mechatronic Engineering program at a university in Lima. The methodology follows a qualitative, propositional approach, grounded in the development of sessions under the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model, and supported by pedagogical, technological, knowledge management, and psychological principles. The laboratory program consists of four phases: a) Planning: allocation of instructional hours, design of learning modules, proposal of class sessions, development of evaluation rubrics, among others; b) Implementation: execution of learning sessions involving the prototyping of four engineering projects distributed across four modules; c) Evaluation: use of assessment rubrics and checklists; and, d) Continuous improvement: identification of the program’s strengths and weaknesses, and measurement of outcomes through rubrics and the prototypes presented.
