Resumen
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of biophilic architecture on the comfort of pediatric inpatients in a type III hospital located in Chimbote, a port city in Peru, using a mixed research approach with a quasi-experimental design. Data collection instruments such as observation cards and pre- and post-design questionnaires were used to obtain the participants' perspective, in addition to a preference survey to include certain characteristics in the design of a prototype pediatric hospital room. Finally, the results show that the influence of biophilia is positive based on biophilic patterns applicable to pediatric recovery environments incorporating features of nature that provide comfort to patients.
