Resumen
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative condition characterized by the presence of tremors, slow movements and muscle rigidity. There is currently no cure for this disease, but there are different methods that allow the disease to be identified, even so, the use of these methods can interfere with the patient's performance. Therefore, the use of non-invasive techniques to diagnose the disease is of vital importance for the well-being and timely treatment of the patient. This article describes the method of signal acquisition and processing using the MPU6050 sensor by means of a low-pass filter and fuzzy logic to estimate the degree of tremor movement of the patient's hand in a noninvasive way. A good performance of the sensor used together with the Fuzzy rules elaborated according to the measured variables was obtained, allowing to estimate the degree of severity of the patient by measuring the patient's movement captured by the sensor. The present device was adjusted in accordance with the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), which was validated by a physician indicating the effectiveness of the device.
