Resumen
The objective of this study was to evaluate the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus on different substrate formulations based on oil palm bagasse (OPB), rice husk (RH), ground corncob (GC), and ground corn cob (CC). Productive parameters such as biological efficiency (BE), yield (Y), production rate (PR), and number of mushroom (NM) were analyzed. A completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments and eight replicates was used. The first experimental phase consisted of substrate preparation, followed by inoculation of the fungus P. ostreatus into the substrates adjusted to 65 % moisture. The highest BE (76.65 %) and PR (1.04) were obtained with the combination of GC + CC (8:2), whereas treatments containing 40 % (T5) and 60 % (T4) of OPB achieved BE values of 57.64 % (T5) and 56.4 % (T4), respectively. Regarding the production rate, T5 and T4 stood out with 0.76 and 0.69 %. The results confirm the viability of using lignocellulose fibre from oil palm as a substrate for Pleurotus ostreatus cultivation, supporting its potential contribution to the circular economy and the reduction of agro-industrial waste. © (2026), (Universidad Nacional de Colombia).
