Resumen
In the electric sector, there has been a sustained variation in carbon intensity due to the rapid and significant growth of clean energy and the well-known decline in the contribution of coal to power generation. However, up until just now, a significant portion of energy production has continued to come from highly polluting sources, impacting on the rise in energy demand, which has also resulted in a variation in carbon emissions. Bioeconomy is one approach to this global energy supply crisis. Ecological, social, and governmental factors must be taken into account in addition to technological and financial ones in this analysis of the role that the bioeconomy has played in the energy crisis. The connection between the bioeconomy and energy generation is also highlighted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. © The Editor and Contributing Authors Severally 2025
