Resumen
The digital transformation in Latin America has driven the adoption of Big Data and artificial intelligence technologies in the health sector between 2010 and 2024. This systematic review analyzes the advancement of digital health solutions, focusing on assisted diagnosis, hospital optimization, personalized medicine and disease prevention. Based on a structured search in Scopus, studies that show accelerated evolution, largely catalyzed by the COVID-19 pandemic, were identified and categorized. Critical challenges such as limited infrastructure, insufficient training, and protection of sensitive data remain. The results underline the need for strategies adapted to the regional context to ensure effective and sustainable implementation of digital health technologies, thus strengthening health systems and reducing access inequalities in Latin America.
