Bibliometrics of scientific production on teacher emotional intelligence in learning environments

Resumen

The essential aspect of the study is to describe, identify and analyze the scientific production on emotional intelligence and its evolution over time in a three-year period using bibliometric indicators. The study aimed to analyze the bibliometrics of open access scientific production on emotional intelligence of teachers in learning environments from 2019 to 2021. The research was of basic type with mixed approach and concurrent triangulation design. The sample consisted of 57 scientific publications in the Scopus database. As a result, the scientific production on teachers’ emotional intelligence in learning environments is being developed with a higher proportion in Spain (25%) followed by China (7.8%) and Malaysia (7.8%). On the other hand, Peru only presented one open access academic publication in English in the last three years. There is a large number of transient producers (93.8%), indicating that the subject is currently showing a positive trend in the acceptance of the texts produced and that the authors will be able to move up by increasing the number of their productions in the future; concluding that the study of emotional intelligence is important in university teaching
