Resumen
The purpose of this article focuses on a detailed bibliometric analysis to reveal trends related to waste generated by sugar industries and its impact on the environment. Through the collection and evaluation of scientific data, we seek to identify research patterns, most influential sources, as well as the specific effects that these wastes have on various environmental aspects. Using Rstudio, Excel and VosViewer, the data obtained from Scopus was observed. In total, 1,044 publications were identified on the Scopus website during the period from 2010 to May 2024 relating to sugarcane waste. The 1044 publications cover 863 original research articles, 68 journals, 65 representative conference articles, 42 book chapters, and 4 other types of documents. It is presented that the scientific journals most selected by the authors on this topic are Science of The Total Environment, Nongye Gongcheng Xuebao Transactions Of The Chinese Society Of Agricultural Engineering, Soil And Tillage Research in Environmental Science And Pollution Research. Furthermore, it is observed that China, the United States and India are the countries with the greatest relevance in the three groups with the greatest impact.
