Resumen
The evaluation in Trujillo reveals key barriers to solar energy, such as high installation and maintenance costs, lack of financing, and low perception of benefits. Supportive policies are needed to improve access and clarify advantages. The research was conducted based on a basic research type with a quantitative approach and descriptive scope. The results show that the main obstacles perceived by the population of Trujillo to harness solar energy are related to both initial and ongoing economic barriers, as well as the lack of accessible financing and high-interest rates. In conclusion, the barriers hindering the use of solar energy in Trujillo were evaluated, highlighting high installation and maintenance costs, lack of financing, and limited governmental incentives. Perceptions of return on investment are divided, emphasizing the need for more information and transparency to encourage the adoption of solar energy, contributing to SDGs 7 and 13.
