Resumen

This article presents an innovative design for an Automated Hydroponic Greenhouse (AHG), conceived to optimize the cultivation of a wide range of plants and vegetables for home use at a low cost. This system is customized according to the specific needs of various types of vegetation and offers an efficient alternative for the production of fresh, uncontaminated food in limited spaces. The research covers the selection of materials used, analysis of hydroponic systems, analysis of the nutrient solution, complete configuration of the hydroponic system, and automation components. Among all existing types of hydroponic systems, the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) stands out as the most widely used due to its low cost, ease of construction, and acquisition. Two prototypes with the NFT system have been tested and proven effective in water and nutrient usage. Subsequently, automation has enabled precise control of environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, light, turbidity, and actuators. The AHG with the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) is efficient, adaptable, and easy to use, making it an attractive option for individuals seeking to cultivate their own food sustainably and represents a significant advancement in domestic cultivation technology.
