Results: 19 articles were selected and organized into two categories: a) factors that affect the attitude towards formative research, b) barriers in research training. Conclusions: The attitude towards formative research is favorable or moderately favorable in the majority of nursing students, resulting from the influence of factors such as age, gender, academic years, previous research experiences and research activities, academic factors and credits university, these factors can also contribute to a negative attitude, conditioning the student's inclination to conduct research. Likewise, there are barriers that not only govern those that the student places himself, such as lack of time, but is affected mainly by the methodological aspect, the lack of research, that the teacher is not adequately trained to guide the student in the research or funding the research requires.
