Resumen
Since the agrarian reform, the intention to improve the quality of life of the rural population has been a constant in the different ecoregions of the Peruvian Andes. This text analyzes the influence of the main ethnodevelopment programs and projects on the housing of highland peasant communities in the post-agrarian reform period (1969) and economic reform (1993) until the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, through a three-stage historiographic and documentary research. The results of the systematization show us technical assistance through five types of relationship between ethnodevelopment and housing that governmental and non-governmental organizations implemented. It concludes by explaining that in certain highland communities there is a scaling of programs and projects with an emphasis on ethnodevelopment that allows the emergence of a new housing system and allows families to manage their natural and productive resources in an innovative way through proper management of the housing property, where the use of the speaking map guides the distribution of spatial units in the dwelling to contribute to self-sustaining development in Peruvian rural communities. © (2025), Author(s).
