Resumen
The value chain of guinea pigs, an important supplier of protein for human consumption, has made limited progress for several years, mainly due to human capital deficiencies. For this reason, this research evaluated the domain of the 28 project management skills of the International Association for Project Management (IPMA) in organized producers from Jauja, through the application of a self-assessment survey, supported by three facilitators and two collaborators, after a workshop to raise awareness and discuss the problem of the guinea pig value chain. The survey contained the definition of each competence and a rating scale from one to five. The results indicate that the domain of IPMA competencies in organized guinea pig producers from Jauja is at a level of 2.9/5, with partial values in perspective competencies: 2.94/5, personal: 3.21/5 and practical: 2.66/5. It is concluded that it is necessary to carry out a comprehensive training process in competencies and the results can guide the design of a training program by competencies for producer organizations of Jauja.
