Resumen
Adolescent depression is a critical public health problem: it affects 1 in 7 young people worldwide and presents serious limitations in early detection in Peru. In response, this study proposes mobile software designed to identify depressive symptoms using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and provide empathetic support in real time. Unlike other solutions that do not incorporate empathetic response mechanisms, our application analyzes texts, detects risk patterns, and issues timely alerts to the adolescent's support network. The results demonstrate an 86% reduction in the time to access initial emotional support and an 89% F1 score in symptom detection.
