Artificial intelligence optimizes supply chains in search of predictive and sustainable logistics

Hidalgo Panez K.M.; Cuadrado Ramirez D.B.; Tocas Valero J.C.; Ruiz Parejas R.A. · Proceedings of 2025 International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Computational Social Sciences, AICSS 2025 (2025) · DOI: 10.1145/3776759.3776806

Resumen

Artificial intelligence (AI) currently represents an essential tool for optimizing supply chains, enhancing the accuracy of demand forecasting, improving inventory management efficiency, and significantly reducing operational costs. In this context, the aim of this study is to conduct a systematic literature review on the impact of AI in logistics, with particular emphasis on sustainability and predictive efficiency. For this purpose, 20 academic articles published in indexed journals between January 2023 and March 2025 were analyzed, utilizing keywords such as logistics management, supply chain optimization, predictive logistics, sustainable logistics, and artificial intelligence. The results indicate that AI implementation considerably strengthens supply chain resilience, effectively reduces the carbon footprint, and significantly optimizes resource allocation and distribution. These findings emphasize the relevance of AI as a critical component for achieving predictive and sustainable logistics in supply chains.
