Resumen
Introduction: The study aims to analysis the journalistic frames related to artificial intelligence in the digital press, categorizing these frames into general and specific to identify trends in media coverage. Methodology: This descriptive and transversal research adopts a deductive approach, given that the dimensions of analysis are theoretically established: generic frames (for, against, neutral) and specific frames (concern, benefits, responsibility/regulation, sociocultural impact, prospective and others).. The content analysis technique is used. The sample is made up of 302 digital journalistic texts published by international, national and local media, during the first half of 2023. Results: It is evident that, in terms of generic framing, the favorable frames prevail, with 53% of the articles framing AI in a positive way. Regarding the specific frames, a predominance of the benefits frame is observed, followed by the concern frame, with 35% and 26% respectively. Discussions: The pre-eminence of positive frames reflects an optimistic trend in media coverage of AI, although the main narrative is favorable, there is a recognition of frames of concern and the need to address the associated risks. Conclusions: While the predominant texts in the media are favorable towards AI, the attention to the risks underlines the importance of a balanced and critical approach in the media environment.
