Resumen
The present research study aims to assess how artificial intelligence is related to computational thinking in students at a private university from Lima (Peru). The methodology is basic type, correlational, and with a nonexperimental design. Data are gathered at a single moment. The population consists of 360 students and the sample, selected through non-probabilistic intentional sampling, includes 150 students from the 2024-I semester. The instrument applied is a questionnaire and the technique used is a survey. The results show that artificial intelligence is found at a low level (62.7%) and computational thinking at a deficient level (76.7%), which shows a worrying limitation in these skills. The Spearman coefficient (0.793) and the significance value (0.000) confirm a highly positive relationship. It is concluded that the use of artificial intelligence increases computational thinking, highlighting the need to strengthen both skills among students. © (2025), (Centro de Informacion Tecnologica).
