Resumen
The industrial sector is responsible for approximately 31% of global CO2 emissions and 37% of world energy consumption, positioning carbon neutrality as a strategic priority. Green Engineering emerges as an integrated sustainability approach, articulating clean technologies, eco-design, and green manufacturing. This study, through a systematic review based on the PRISMA 2020 method, analyzed literature published between 2021 and 2025 in the Scopus database. From an initial universe of 137 documents, 50 high-impact articles (Q1 and Q2) were selected to ensure scientific rigor. Bibliometric results identify China as the leader in scientific production and reveal five thematic clusters: sustainability, environmental impact, energy efficiency, technological innovation, and sustainable development. Qualitative analysis highlights that the integration of 60R Circular Economy principles with digital tools, including Digital Twins, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and energy microgrids, enables a 25% reduction in operational waste and improves industrial energy autonomy. The findings confirm that Green Engineering is a strategic imperative for strengthening competitiveness and ecological efficiency in the global industry.
