Resumen
The perishable food supply chain represents a great logistical challenge due to different environmental factors that must be met to ensure minimal loss and avoid diminishing profitability. The purpose of this study is to present a low-cost portable system and intuitive to monitor the environmental status of cargo using the Internet of things (IoT), store the collected data in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud and generate reports for the decision-making. To corroborate the correct functioning of the prototype, a controlled route was simulated within Lima, Peru. The main components of the proposed system are the M5Stack AWS development kit, the ENV III temperature and humidity sensor, and the Android application, LogiApp, connected to the other components through the AWS cloud.
