Resumen
To face the challenges of the business and social environment, most university students, thanks to their creativity, analysis, collaboration and empathy, develop innovative and sustainable ventures that are enhanced by various methodologies such as design thinking. The research determined the impact of the application of the design thinking methodology in the development of student entrepreneurship in a public university in Peru. A quantitative process of pre-experimental design and explanatory scope was implemented. A questionnaire and practical evaluations, both pretest and posttest, as well as a design thinking methodology workshop, were applied to 180 students who participated. In the Wilcoxon test, a Z value =-11.635 and a significance of less than 0.05 were obtained; therefore, the existence of representative differences in the pretest and posttest was affirmed, and after having applied the DT methodology, it had a positive and significant impact on the development of entrepreneurship in university students.
